8. Ride Truth Engine
The Ride Truth Engine is an optional, consent-based feature that allows users to compare ride-hailing platforms based on crowd-sourced reliability data.
- Purpose: To provide transparent, community-driven reliability scores for ride-hailing providers across cities, helping you make informed choices.
- Voluntary Participation: You must explicitly opt in before any data is collected. You can revoke consent at any time.
- Data Collected: Provider name, city, ride outcome signals (price accuracy, pickup timing, cancellations), and optional receipt screenshots for OCR verification.
- Anonymity: All submitted data is anonymized. Your identity is never linked to public rankings or scores.
- Anti-Fraud Protections: The system includes safeguards against data manipulation, including per-user submission caps, GPS validation, and anomaly detection.
- Data Deletion: You can delete all your Truth Engine data at any time from the app's Privacy Settings, or by contacting privacy@travony.com.
9. Ghost Mode (Offline Ride-Hailing)
Ghost Mode enables ride-hailing functionality when internet connectivity is unavailable, using Bluetooth mesh networking.
- Purpose: To ensure riders and drivers can connect even in areas with limited or no internet coverage.
- How It Works: When offline, ride requests are broadcast via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to nearby drivers. Fares are pre-calculated using cached regional pricing data.
- Automatic Sync: When connectivity is restored, all ghost rides are automatically synchronized with the server for payment processing and record keeping.
- Payment: Ghost ride payments are processed upon sync. You are responsible for ensuring sufficient funds or payment methods are available.
- Limitations: Ghost Mode rides use estimated fares based on cached data. Actual fares may differ slightly upon sync due to price updates.
- Conflict Resolution: In case of data conflicts during sync, the system uses timestamps and device validation to resolve discrepancies.

Users may not:
- Use the service for illegal purposes
- Harass, threaten, or harm other users
- Provide false information
- Attempt to manipulate fares or ratings
- Manipulate Ride Truth Engine scores or submit fraudulent ride data
